Um... Toby?
Things didn't start off very smoothly. But not awful either. Here's how Jynx was feeling the first day (Monday).
Alone...dejected...rejected...she pretty much had her nose bent out of shape.
What, Mom? I'm not the center of the universe? But why not?!
They almost look like friends!!! Don't be deceived -- they were both fixated on a squirrel or pedestrian. But this is a good sign! Jynx is back to taking an interest in the things she loved before. Mostly squirrels. And Toby is eating now... another good sign.
Isn't he cute? Let's do a little compare and contrast.
Jynx
Toby
Sassy
Sweet
High Strung
Laid Back
Bottomless Pit
Not too worried about his food
Too big to get out of the fence
Too small to stay in the fence
Cocker Spaniel
Yorkie/ Beagle (?) mix
Girl
Boy
Big mouth
Quiet
Oh, and I suppose you may be wondering where Toby came from and why we have him. A family in our church is in a transition time and needed someone to keep one of their dogs until things were more settled. We don't know how long we will have him. But I'm not sure we will want to give him back when the time comes :) He's such a fresh contrast to Jynx. And its good for her.
Welcome to our home, Toby! At least two out of the three of us are glad to have you.
And could you please rub some of your good behavior off on Jynx?
