Scavenger Hunt

Whenever my friend, Mindy, goes on roadtrips with her friends, they make a scavenger hunt to do.  Mindy made one for Katie and me when we went on our Excellent Adventure which you can read about here, here, here and here.

She said she would make one for our trip to Hilton Head, too, so I checked my email when we got there, and this is what she said:

So I have your scavenger hunt list.......It is a very special one because Kaden came up with it all on his own.  I tried to keep it how he worded it and still make sense.  You will notice sometimes he got on a theme.  I also left it in the order that he was thinking them up.

So here's how we did...

A rock that looks like hair

I couldn't find a rock that looked like hair, but this one looked like it HAD hair...

A toad

We didn't see a toad, but we did see a lizard and an alligator, and Tim spelled "TOAD" when we played Bananagrams.

A tree with leaves changing

An old knocked down tree

A piece of corn

Sorry, we didn't find any corn.

Sand in a jar

Make a sand castle as tall as Kaden (45 inches)

45 inches is about hip-height for Tim.  It should be noted that this was early in the vacation... Tim's farmer's tan situation has improved considerably. :)

See who can get to the deepest end of the water

Old tires in a driveway

Halloween decoration

We saw lots of decorations, but we never took pictures.  BUT these Halloween decorations are definitely worth checking out.  Nice job finding them, Tim!

See how tall your brother is

Sven is about this tall.
Play hide and seek
Sorry...didn't get this one done either.

See how tall your sisters are

Mandy is about this tall...

... and Kelly is about this tall.

See if you can find a shell

A big skipping stone

A rock that looks like a circle

Which is the littlest sister

See if you can bounce your ball really high in the sky

See if you can catch a fish with your fishing pole

We forgot to bring our fishing poles, but maybe this guy caught something!

Make a letter by your sand castle

Make a cross by your letter

Take a picture of a dock

Take a picture of a light house

We didn't have time to go see the real lighthouse on this trip, but there were lots of them in our condo!

Make a hat by your cross

This is a 3-D sombrero that Tim made.

Thanks for the fun list, Kaden!  Maybe someday your mom and dad will take you to the beach and I can make a list for you :)
