Black Friday shopping didn't make the to-do list this year-- there was nothing major enough to make it worth it. But that doesn't mean we didn't get some AMAZING DEALS.
When Tim and I got married, some good friends of mine gave us a generous gift card to P. Graham Dunn-- a local store that sells wood carvings and other gifts and home decor. We could never remember to bring the gift card with us when we were heading back to town, until this year. Mom reminded me to bring it, because the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving they have a big clearance sale on their "outlet" items. Tim and I dropped by Saturday afternoon.
The difficult thing about this store is that everything is SO BEAUTIFUL that it was hard to choose. The awesome thing about the generous gift card and AMAZING sale prices was that we didn't have to choose!
Here's our loot:
Isn't it beautiful? Ok, I know the bright flowers don't exactly fit in, but we can put it in a bedroom or something... we liked it, ok?
Their prices are pretty reasonable anyway, considering what you are getting, but with the additional discount it was almost ridiculous. All outlet items (which these were) were 50% off the lowest ticketed price. And everything else in the store was no less than 15% off.
Check out their website-- there's a lot of really neat stuff. Definiately a good place to look for a gift for that "hard to buy for" person (or 5) in your life!
Here's a closer look at our treasures.
I love this verse. Meditate on it during this (hectic) holiday season...
Great choices! My favorites are the misty morning tree and the Romans 15:13. I'll look for them to be hung somewhere the next time we come visit:) And CONGRATULATIONS TIM on your third championship....that's my boy! haha
