What A Weekend!

Well Folks... this happened this weekend:

Yep, that's my little sister and her new husband!!!  Isn't she gorgeous?!!!  Words cannot express how awesome the day was or what an amazing bride Mandy was.  I am so, so, so SO happy for these two.

I had a few duties for the day as matron of honor, shared with my other sister, Kelly, the maid of honor.

We were pretty good at it, if I do say so myself.  We're a good team.

Speaking of things that were kind of a big deal, let's talk about Sven.  And his hair.  Where did we leave off?  Oh yes.  Here he is at his graduation two weeks ago.

Mom already had a haircut scheduled for him when he got home.  Mandy requested that he shave his beard for the wedding.  Here is the result:

Handlebar mustache.  Complete with wax, should the proper occasion strike.

No, he's not completely heartless.  After some preliminary trimming with nail clippers, and a good shave, we could see all of his face for the wedding...much to the groomsmen's chagrin.

Yesterday he kept on twitching his upper lip and rubbing it, stating that it felt so weird... like something was missing.  He probably would already be working on growing it back, if he wasn't in the market for a job.  But I'm guessing 3 weeks after he gets an offer, he'll be twirling his 'stache again.

We got home today, and saw this a few miles out of town:

That waterline is just about at the rumble strips.

We've been cleaning up our basement ever since we got home.  So.  much.  water.
